EFT or Tapping

Emotional Freedom Technique, commonly called EFT or tapping, is a recent addition to the therapeutic modalities available at Spectrum Holistic Health. Tapping can be administered clinically either in person, over the phone, or through a computer connection such as Skype. In addition, the EFT practitioner can teach a client simple do-it-yourself tapping that can be used by the client to work on recurring issues at home, at work or elsewhere, such as fear of public speaking, cravings for nicotine, phobias, and so forth. EFT/tapping is painless, non-invasive, non-addictive, and very, very helpful.

Centuries ago, Chinese healers developed an understanding of the energy that flows within each person’s body. They mapped out the primary energy paths within the body, which we call “meridians”. Chinese healers developed methods for stimulating or unblocking these paths by inserting thin needles into specific points along the paths, to correct and balance the energy flow. Today, this technique is called acupuncture, and is widely used and respected as a complementary medicine technique, in the medical community.

EFT is a modern complementary healing technique used by physicians, psychologists, and holistic health practitioners to help people overcome limiting beliefs, break bad habits, conquer phobias, and relieve pain. It is built upon a combination of verbal statements and manually stimulating many of those same acupuncture points, but without using needles

How does EFT help? EFT acts to stimulate points on the energy pathways within the body, while using verbal cues to reprogram the mind, so it no longer reacts the same way to those events or memories of those events.

Each EFT session is unique, and requires interaction between the practitioner and the client, to arrive at the proper way to address the issue(s). Most of the time, the issue, whatever it may be, is not the problem. The problem is something hidden causing the issue, like a pinhole leak in a tire that causes the tire to deflate and make a car pull to one side. It may take a bit of time to find the pinhole and deal with it, but until you do, the same tire will continue to go flat over time, and may cause even more serious problems, like a car accident or being stuck on the side of the road, late at night.

With that said, EFT has been shown to be many, many times quicker at dealing with many issues than traditional talk therapy. And of course, the initial 30-minute consultation is at no cost to you.

Pricing

In-Office EFT

$60/session

For in-office EFT, you come to me and we sit in a quiet and safe space together, without any interruptions, discussing the issue and working on each layer of the problem together. We may uncover hidden issues that evoke strong emotions, so you should be prepared for this, but I promise to be supportive throughout the process.

Each session will typically last for one hour or less.

Remote / Distance EFT

$50/session

For remote EFT, we arrange a mutually agreeable time to work, normally via computer video such as Skype or Zoho. The work can be done via phone, but this is more difficult because of the lack of visual cues. Your location should be quiet and without any interruptions, where we will discuss the issue and work on each layer of the problem together. As with the in-office sessions, we may uncover hidden issues that evoke strong emotions, so you should be prepared for this, but I promise to be supportive throughout the process.

Each session will typically last for one hour or less.
